fall must-haves (for me, at least.)

I love fall. It is my absolute favorite season. I love the thought of cozy sweaters, thick blankets, hot chocolate and colorful leaves. Also the relief of hot weather. Temperatures about 75 are way too much for me...I like Seattle weather. I even love the rain (and I can't wait for it after our record-breaking no-rain days.)
So, with my clear new obsession with polyvore - I just had to make a must-have list for the upcoming new season.

top knot

So...I've always gone thru phases my entire life - food, fashion, hair, etc. Right now I'm going to discuss my current hair phase: top knots/top buns. I kept seeing the pictures pop up and sometimes I thought they were cute, but sometimes I just thought they were weird looking (mainly when I see those people who make their top buns into tall, skinny buns.) That, I don't like. But one day I tried out the super high bun and..."ooh la la!" I loved it! and have basically been rockin' it every day since. (I think my hair is pretty much going to die and fall out soon from being all scrunched in elastics every day.) I'm going to have to buy some of those cute "fancy" elastics that are better for your hair. (That's really just an excuse...they're just cute.)

G&G (glitz & glam)

i love glitter. on everything and everywhere. while browsing through pinterest months ago (possibly a year ago) i came upon some multi-colored glittery toes and was in awe. i searched far and wide for the perfect large-glitter, rainbow colored nail polish then slowly forgot about it.
last week we got some dinner with some friends and i noticed that my girl friend had some seriously sparkly nails. she proceeded to tell me about a picture of some glittery toe nails that she saw on pinterest and i immediately yelled "I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT! I'M OBSESSED WITH THAT PICTURE!"
a few days later she texted me what the nail polish was when she returned to her manicurist.

i'm obsessed with this neon trend, and i am forever happy that parts of the 80's are back. i will forever be an 80's child. (it never really left me.)

i adore the Met Gala time of year. i love seeing all of the beautiful, over-the-top, and sometimes odd gowns and outfits that are picked by the celebrities we can't help but follow.
fashion is just fun.

collaborate!

collaborations are possibly the best things ever! i always get excited when i hear about a new partnership with target or forever 21 or...H & M. insert Anna Dello Russo, the once described as a "fashion maniac", Editor at Large and Creative Consultant for Vogue Japan. i am possibly even more excited than normal for this collaboration - accessories are SO MUCH fun and can totally make any outfit. the sad part: we have to wait until October 4th, but i plan on buying each and every piece...or almost, at least.
...im also a little obsessed with her apartment now!
