12th Man!

Yesterday we had some people over to watch the Seahawks game. I have a sort-of sickness where I can't attend get-togethers without making something. But since we were ordering pizza and having the typical assortment of chips, dips (including my homemade guacamole) and cookies - I decided to keep it semi-simple and go for some good ol' rice crispie treats...dyed blue and neon green for our colors. (The colors don't show up too well in the pic.)
I also definitely could not pass up the opportunity to paint my nails some fabulous colors.

perfect pinks.

I have so many pink nail polishes, I can't even tell you how many I have. I'm constantly on the search to find the long sought after "perfect pink." I've found quite a few.  ...quite a few. But sometimes I find myself thinking "I just need a perfect light pink" or "I just need a perfect Barbie pink" etc, etc.... 

The other day I was in quite the mood for pink nails, so I went thru my suitcase, if you will, of nail polishes and just as I [thought that I] had decided on the perfect color combo, I came across an old color that I frequently pass up and had simply forgotten about - Revlon's Fushia Fever and gave it a go. Along with one of my perfect light pink's, OPI Pink Friday, I have now found possibly my favorite color combo!

G&G (glitz & glam)

i love glitter. on everything and everywhere. while browsing through pinterest months ago (possibly a year ago) i came upon some multi-colored glittery toes and was in awe. i searched far and wide for the perfect large-glitter, rainbow colored nail polish then slowly forgot about it.
last week we got some dinner with some friends and i noticed that my girl friend had some seriously sparkly nails. she proceeded to tell me about a picture of some glittery toe nails that she saw on pinterest and i immediately yelled "I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT! I'M OBSESSED WITH THAT PICTURE!"
a few days later she texted me what the nail polish was when she returned to her manicurist.

disco romance.

on a lil' shopping trip i took to nordstrom rack recently, i picked up a few OPI nail polishes. (i had to stop myself at three pinks, because i have a small traveling trunk full as it is.) after a failed attempt at a pink-on-dark-pink french tip, i decided to go with my new pink/nude (OPI "hopelessly in love") overlayed with a large silver glitter (essie "set in stones".)
...and then i took an oh-so dramatic and romantic shot of my nails over flower petals. *wink*

for a change from the ol' pinks and red's of the recent valentine's day and a little head start into the new season of spring i opted for a new minty green nail color that i just had to test out!
